About the Study
Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek conducts postgraduate interdisciplinary study program European Studies Regional Cooperation and EU Integration.

This study is carried out in cooperation with the following partners:

The study lasts for three semesters. Lectures are held in the first and second semester. The third semester is intended for producing and defending the Master thesis in public. The students are obliged to deliver two research papers during the study upon which completion a pertinent number of ECTS credits shall be awarded.
The study is evaluated according to the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) for the purpose of establishing common criteria for the recognition of examinations passed at other institutions of higher education in the Republic of Croatia as well as within the EU countries.
Upon completion of the study programme students shall obtain 90 ECTS (30 in each semester and 30 ECTS after final paper has been successfully defended). Besides obligatory number of ECTS, passed exams and research papers shall be evaluated according to the following grades ranging from 1 - 5.

Professional training of staff in state and public administration will be achieved through this interdisciplinary study, which comprises providing basic knowledge of the European Union legal system, as well as economic, military, cultural and political aspects of Croatian integration to EU. In addition harmonization of work procedures within offices in Croatian public and state administration with akin offices in EU member states shall be achieved.
Knowledge and skills gained through this interdisciplinary study provide good basics for advanced education in the field of international relations, public relations, legal services and for positions within corporate sector that connect domestic and foreign, as well as regional and European dimension of integration process.

Academic title
After completing the study and defending the Master thesis, students are awarded the title Advanced Master of European Studies (AME$)
