European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers are the European documents that specify roles, responsibilities and entitlements of researchers and assure equal rights for all researchers irregardless of the EU country they work in. The European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers define rights and responsibilities of researchers and organizations which employ researchers, and determine equal criteria for employment towards all researchers in Europe, with the aim to assure transparent recruitment process.
In 2010, the University of Osijek has signed the Declaration of
Commitment to the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct
for the Recruitment of Researchers, thus committing itself to respect the
principles of these documents and to adjust its legal acts and procedures to
the ones of the Charter and Code.
