The FAIR Project conference
On January 19th, 2016, Quality assurance center employee participated in the FAIR project conference dealing with issues of academic recognition of higher education qualifications. The conference was held in the CIMEA, Rome, Italy. The partner higher education institutions from six European countries have been discussing issues of identifying steps in their internal procedures which result in Decision on recognition of foreign qualifications. The project includes two project experimental procedures related to the recognition of qualifications for the purpose of granting the enrollment in the second higher education cycle. Collected data will help the European Universities Association (EUA) to collect the input data for basis of assessment. Afterwards, the EUA will prepare a report for each institution which will include assessment and recommendations for further improvement of recognition methods.
The “Mechanisms of cross-border cooperation EURES” Project
Head of Office for quality assurance of education participated in the closing ceremony of the Twinning Light Project “Mechanisms of cross-border cooperation EURES” (CRO CBC EURES). The project was conducted by Croatian Employment Service in cooperation with the Ministry of the Economy of the Republic of Hungary. Activities that were implemented within the project were presented. The project closing ceremony was held at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek on November 24th, 2015.
“Mechanisms of cross-border cooperation EURES” Project roundtable
On October 29th 2015, Head of Office for quality assurance of education participated at the round table on the topic of cross-border cooperation and mobility within the twinning light project “Mechanisms of cross-border cooperation EURES“. The Project was initiated by Croatian Employment Service in cooperation with the Ministry of the Economy of Republic of Hungary. The goal of this project is to strengthen cross-border mobility and the free movement of labor in the European Economic Area (EEA), while its purpose is to support the Croatian Employment Service in development and implementation of cross-border EURES activities and promote cross-border mobility and cooperation. The round table was held at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, County Chamber of Osijek.
Me4CataLOgue project conference
On December 4th, 2014, Quality assurance center representatives participated in the final conference of the IPA Me4CataLOgue project – Croatian catalog of knowledge, skills and competences for mechanical engineering studies based on learning outcomes. International conference has brought together experts from several countries in the region from the field of mechanical engineering, the Croatian Qualifications Framework (CQF), and areas related to learning outcomes and the way of defining them. Head of the Quality assurance center, Associate professor Sanja Lončar-Vicković, presented the paper entitled: ‘’Place of learning outcomes in the study programs at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek’’ which is included in the Proceedings of this conference. Quality assurance center team have used the opportunity of this gathering to establish new contacts, to gather some news as well as to exchange experiences related to learning outcomes.
