New project RELEARN – REsearch-based teaching for life-long LEARNing at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology

The project is funded by the Erasmus+ KA202. The project objective is to create a platform that will enable the so-called research-based teaching. The main idea is that teachers introduce more easily the latest scientific findings into the course contents that they teach. For this purpose, a software platform is to be created that would use machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to find appropriate scientific materials (publications, books, scientific articles), research groups which deal with the requested topics, institutions and organisations, etc. On the other hand, students shall be encouraged to use the latest scientific materials when dealing with their obligations in certain courses. The company Research Unfolded Sweden AB acts as a project coordinator.

Project partners are:

  • University of A Coruña, A Coruña, Spain
  • Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Osijek, Republic of Croatia (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology – FERIT)
  • The company RUnIT, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Sapienza University, Rome, Italy
  • University West, Trollhättan, Sweden

From 24 – 25 May 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mirko Kohler and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zdravko Krpić attended a two-day kick-off project meeting held at the University West in Trollhättan, Sweden. During the meeting, they visited laboratories of the Production Technology Centre (PTC) which are engaged in the development of production processes for the processing industry.
