Short description (Aims and scope): Croatian Journal of Food Science and Technology is an international scientific journal, published by the Faculty of Food Technology, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, since 2009. Launching of this brand new journal in the area of food science and technology was a logical cycle of an increased scientific and professional activity of the Faculty of Food Technology Osijek, and its wish to further stimulate publication activities, making this journal a very important part of these efforts. It publishes original research papers, short notes, scientific notes, review articles, professional papers and conference papers. The journal also publishes announcements (organization of congresses, gatherings, conferences, meetings), as well as reports from the major conferences. In addition, the journal also promotes books of domestic and foreign authors related to the profession. Scientific papers (original research papers, short notes, scientific notes and review articles) are accepted and published only in English. These categories of works are subject to foreign and domestic peer review. For each article at least two peer reviews are provided. The journal is published twice a year. So far ten issues of the journal have been published More then 100 reviewers were actively involved in reviewing the Journal papers, some reviewers were from Croatia and others were international coming from more then 20 countries. The Chief Editor of the Croatian Journal of Food Science and Technology is Vlasta Piližota, PhD, full professor, the Deputy chief editor is Ljiljana Primorac, PhD, full professor, Editorial assistant is Ivana Pavleković, BSc engineer.
