From 21 – 24 May 2022, the team of 2-year students of the graduate study programme in Media and Public Relations of the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, accompanied by the mentor, Tomislav Levak, lecturer at the Department of Culture, Media and Management of the Academy, organised a study visit to Sarajevo, a capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within a follow-up of the international student project “Interlinking Student Journalism in Southeastern Europe”. The project has been implemented since 2018 by the students of Media Culture and Public Relations, financed by the Student Union of the University of Osijek. The study visit to Sarajevo was planned to be realised in autumn 2020, but it was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main project objective has been fulfilled, since it resulted in the established international cooperation among students of the Osijek Academy and the students of the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo who study journalism and communication studies and work in the publishing and media. During 3-day visit, students and the mentor participated in the field-teaching organised in the nature park Vrelo Bosne in the vicinity of Sarajevo, as well as on different sites in Sarajevo. Field work was organised for the purpose of interviewing, recording and photographing for student magazines and social networks. The project participants visited the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo and its Department of Journalism/Communication Studies. They attended interesting lectures held within the course Online Journalism and TV Journalism, and they also had meetings and discussions with teachers and students who presented the student blog of their home Faculty “Students about the Youth”. The Osijek students of Media and Public Relations presented Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, their home Academy, as well as current media publications: the University News, an official newspaper of the Osijek University; the Notan Student Magazine and Artos, an online magazine published by the Osijek Academy to their colleagues from Sarajevo. They also discussed possibility of establishing new projects and models of cooperation, especially in the field of student journalism. The students and the mentor thank everyone, especially Prof. Dr. Lejla Turčilo and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Belma Buljubašić from the Host Faculty of Political Sciences who arranged and coordinated their activities. Acquired knowledge and experiences and recordings made during the study visit were presented to home Academy students of Media and Public Relations at a one-day educational workshop held on 7 June 2022 at the Academy in Osijek.
