Since 2014, the Department of Biology as a constituent unit of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek has been continuously implementing a science popularisation project known as Biolog-i-Ja (in English: Biology-and-I), within which it gathers interested citizens of all age groups to share their enthusiasm for science and strongly encourage the participants’ interest in biology. From 26 May to 1 June 2022, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Osijek hosted students from School for Public Policy and Urban Affairs of the Northeastern University from Boston, USA. The visit was organised at the Department of Psychology within the programme Dialogue of Civilizations Course - Ethnic Identity and Conflict in Croatia and Bosnia, coordinated by Assoc. Dario Ferić, officer for bilateral, multilateral and international cooperation of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, and Erasmus+ coordinator, realised a 5-day long visit within the Erasmus+ mobility programme at Universidade Lusófona do Porto, in Portugal. Portugal is a country that receives every year the most of University of Osijek’s outgoing Erasmus+ students and with which the University of Osijek has excellent cooperation. On 1 July 2022, Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, paid a working visit to Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.
