On behalf of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek and its Academy of Arts and Culture, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the event Young Theatre Festival, that will be held in Bale, Istria County, Croatia, from 20 – 26 September 2026.
The Young Theatre Festival in Bale is an international and interdisciplinary festival that brings together students, academics, artists and professionals to collaborate on theatre plays, and to engage in workshops, lectures, exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects. This Festival promotes creativity, arts and cultural exchange and collaboration across different artistic and academic fields.

Our international guests – teachers and other staff members from partner Universities wishing to join the event can apply for Erasmus+ KA171 project funding by  sending the application documents to martina@unios.hr:
  1. Application form for staff mobility
  2. Staff Mobility agreement for Training
  3. Privacy Statement
  4. Confirmation of home University about employment status at the University
  5. Proof of citizenship (copy of passport, page with photo)

 

Our international students from partner Universities selected to participate in the event can apply for Erasmus+ KA171 project funding by  sending the application documents to martina@unios.hr:

  1. Application form for student mobility
  2. Student Learning agreement (LA) for studies
  3. Erasmus+ Student Nomination form (signed by International Office)
  4. CV of the student
  5. Privacy Statement
  6. Confirmation of your University / School that students are enrolled
  7. Proof of citizenship (copy of passport, or certificate of nationality)
Practical information: the Festival is held in the camp Mon Perin, and the accommodation is also organised in the camp, in the mobile houses (camping homes), some photos and info are available on the Mon Perin website. Camping houses have two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, one shared kitchen and living room. One house can accommodate max. 6 people.
The easiest way to reach Mon Perin is to fly to Pula Airport, and then take a shuttle to Bale: https://www.monperin.com/destination
Other close airports are in Trieste, Italy, and Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The opening of the Festival will be on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at 6.00 p.m.
